Hello Brimstone Family!

So as you might have noticed we didn’t post anything yesterday. This was due to some internet problems but don’t you worry I’m gonna tell you all about it. 🙂

I write with a great feeling in my belly! We are very pleased with the result from yesterday. This weekend has been very exhausting, full concentration and focus on the music. Late nights and early mornings. But finally we get to reap the fruit of our 10 hours of rehearsing per week for the last 6 months. When we had problems with the guitar sound it was really frustrating. We had a really good sound with a bite of a crocodile but there was a squeaky sound from somewhere else in the room. This took us about an hour to locate and eliminate and we got even further behind schedule. Even then there were never a doubt in any of ours mind to give up or settle for something almost ok. We were all set for perfection. We know what sound we want and this is the perfection we are aiming for.

Almost all of the songs we’ve recorded are songs you already heard, but we have cleansed there souls and given some of them a new vibe and some just a stronger vibe. For example we are very pleased with the new version of Confusion which is almost the same but with ALOT more groove to it. Some might get upset but we’ve recorded Get it on and we’ve done it full on. It’s now not just a nice chorus it’s a song to  dance to for real! Well I won’t reveal any more details about the songs but stay tuned for more later on.

On friday it’s time for Guitar solos and let’s just say that I’m looking forward to it. Playing thru a ’63 Vox and a Fender Hot Rod Deville at the same time is quite the experience!  I got so excited that I broke the pickup switch on my guitar… A bit ridiculous but adrenaline is adrenaline and it’s hard to control it.

We are very happy to see that there are so many of you stopping by here every now and then. Don’t stop doing that and we will keep you posted on the progress.

Summary for this weekend is one big smile! We want to give a Brimstone thank you to Erik & Erik at Music on the rocks studio they are really good at what they are doing and very easy to work with. We also wanna thank Danny Pedersen for great photography and filming (There will be more of those goodies later on).

Take care & stay tuned for more!

Hi guys, well done :). I must say it is pretty funny that a volcano on Iceland created a black brimstone cloude over the entire globe when you guys in “brimstone days” started your recordings. That couldn’t have been a coincidence the doom gave you a nice salute to your work. Can’t wait for the release party=)
